About Us

Our family moved to Linthwaite Farm in 1969 and is still farmed by Richard Plume to this day. Originally with his father John, Richard established the thriving small farm, growing cereal crops and raising beef cattle.

In 2020 Linthwaite was given another injection of life when Richard’s son, Chris and his family began working at the farm.

We started by bringing cattle back to the farm after a 15 year hiatus and are now proud owners of a small herd of pedigree Dexters. Poultry and Pigs were to follow, making our special place a hive of activity.
 
Richard, Chris and family now work tirelessly to make sure that Linthwaite Farm operates in a sustainable way and farming practices are both ethical and considered.

With a strong nod to tradition we are a small farm producing a variety of goods for our local community and beyond.
